SOURCE REMOVAL TECHNOLOGY:
On average a typical home (800-3000 sq ft) takes 1 ½ - 4 hours to clean with two professionally trained technicians. The objective of source removal duct cleaning is the removal of all dirt, debris and other contaminants from the ductwork. This is recognized as the only acceptable form of cleaning and decontaminating air duct systems. The equipment Pure Aire utilizes is designed to enable duct cleaning with minimal access to the duct system.
Upon arriving at your home the technician will ensure the HVAC system is turned off prior to the cleaning.
Then the supply and return network are separated so they can be cleaned separately. This is typically done by specially designed zone bags.
An access panel is placed into the supply plenum and a flex duct from the Hepa-Aire inlet is connected to the plenum with a quick - connect attachment collar. The Hepa-Aire vac is then turned on to create airflow within the supply ductwork.
Then we remove each vent cover (if necessary) and each branch is cleaned separately. This cleaning is done using specially designed air balls, air whips, or brushes to push dirt or debris forward to the main run toward the HEPA-AIRE unit. (The branches can also be cleaned using a reverse cleaning process if access to the duct is available)
The main trunk is then cleaned using the specially designed reverse air balls, air whips and/or brushes to dislodge debris accumulated in the duct. It also pulls the loosened debris backward toward the HEPA-AIRE power vacuum, to be captured in its multi-stage filtration/collection system.
Once all of the supply side of the system has been cleaned, the return duct system is then cleaned using the same method.
At this stage the motor and blower is air washed, the heat exchange and coil will be cleaned (if accessible). All access panels are sealed air tight and the system is turned back on to its original settings.
